Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on equipment used in the production process.
- Perform preventive maintenance on designated production equipment as specified in the PM Program or as required to ensure a smooth operation.
- Aid Engineering with the installation, debugging, and start-up of all production equipment.
- Maintain equipment logs on assigned equipment, recording pertinent information about downtime and maintenance problems.
- Document all process changes.
- Mix silicone/solvent-based formulation which is used for the lubrication of needles (Sharps Department Only)
- Uses viscometer to ensure solids percentage remains within acceptable parameters.
- Support Engineering in maintaining and adjusting vision systems within defined parameters.
- Provide leadership to ensure all safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements (QSR) are maintained.
- Provide Production Supervisors with relevant information on equipment and process performance, to include production and waste information.
- Provide leadership to other associates in trouble-shooting production equipment.
- Cook up and support other maintenance duties as required.
- Responsible for providing leadership and ownership of process performance issues.
- Reports directly to Production Maintenance and indirectly to Production.
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma/GED + a minimum of 4 years of Industrial/Manufacturing experience or equivalent experience + education.
- Vocational/Technical School Curriculum required (see below listed classes).
- Relevant experience may be substituted for individual courses or Associates Degree with a Major in Industrial Electronics or similar field (strongly preferred).
- Able to work an 8 hours, Monday through Friday, night shift, 12AM - 8AM.
- Able to interpret and comprehend basic Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) ladder logic.
- Able to trouble shoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) (Allen Bradley preferred).
- Possess proficient skills in electrical industrial systems.
- Able to comprehend and adhere to specifications, procedures, requirements both written and verbal.
- Relevant Fields: Electrical / Electronics Technician, Electromechanical Technician, Mechanical Engineering Technician, Industrial Programmer, Electrician.
