PLC Engineer

About the role

As a PLC Engineer at WPS, you will work on the digital core of our smart logistic systems. You develop and write PLC and HMI software tailored to customer needs, translate technical requirements into clear designs, commission systems, and actively contribute to optimizing and standardizing our software. Your independent and solution-oriented approach directly impacts the success of every project.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC and HMI software for our logistic installations.
• Translate customer requirements into technical automation solutions.
• Implement and commission software on-site at horticulture and research clients.
• Maintain software quality and actively contribute to optimizations and standardization.
• Collaborate closely with project teams and other programmers.

Requirements

• HBO-level (higher professional education) thinking and working, through education or experience, e.g., in mechatronics, electrical engineering, control engineering, or computer science.
• Experience with industrial automation, preferably with Beckhoff, Omron, or CodeSys.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team, while also being confident in your expertise.
• Customer-focused, solution-oriented, flexible, and independent.
• Possession of a B driver’s license.
