Willingness and Ability
- Collaborate with mechanical, controls engineering, and skilled trades teams throughout the entire programming, tryout, and installation phases of automation projects.
- Perform PLC logic development and programming during the build and debug stages at our internal build locations, as well as on-site at customer facilities during installation and launch.
- Implement updates and improvements in control logic in response to customer change requests or process optimization needs.
- Debug and test I/O signals, validate safety and interference zones, and document all programming changes in coordination with the engineering team.
- Lead on-site training sessions for end-users and provide effective, solution-driven support representing the company’s technical capabilities.
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and integration.
Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and system diagrams.
Proficient in IEC 61131-3 programming languages.
Skilled in troubleshooting PLC systems, as well as diagnosing related electrical and mechanical issues.
Familiar with servo motors, stepper motors, and AC drives.
Multilingual capability (Chinese, Spanish, or German) is a strong plus.
Preferred experience with the following platforms and technologies:
- Allen-Bradley (RSLogix500, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View)
- Siemens (TIA Portal)
- Schneider (Machine Expert, Codesys)
- Motion control systems (AB, Siemens, Schneider, Yaskawa)
- Fanuc robot programming
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, including domestic and international destinations (U.S., Mexico, Europe, Asia).
