About the role
We are seeking a Playwright Automation Test Engineer with 8+ years of relevant experience to create, maintain, and execute automated UI and API test scripts. A background in Agentic Gen AI/Claude through PoC or implementation is a plus.
Location: Whippany, NJ (3 days onsite).
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated UI and API test scripts using Playwright, with prior experience in Selenium and API test automation.
- Design or enhance scalable, reusable automation frameworks.
- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git) for continuous testing.
- Validate web application functionality across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit.
- Collaborate with developers to analyze PRDs, identify gaps, and ensure high test coverage.
- Analyze test results and report bugs using tools like Jira.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Experience with UI testing, API testing (REST/JSON), and backend validation.
- Knowledge of Docker, cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack/Sauce Labs), and BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
