Playground Supervisor

Supervising elementary students indoors and outdoors before school and/or during lunch recess daily at Edith Bowen Laboratory School.

Responsibilities

• Enjoy working with elementary-age students.
• Supervise and help students obey playground rules.
• Work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions (rain, snow, cold).
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Experience with supervision and taking authority working with elementary-age students (ages 5–12).
• Willingness to work outside in rain, snow, and cold conditions.
• Experience in outdoor camps or swimming programs preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification desired.

Schedule

11:00 AM to 1:00 PM daily. There is no flexibility on this schedule.

Pay

$14.09 per hour.

This position requires moderate physical activity, including:

• Nearly continuous standing and walking.
• Repetitive hand motions and reaching overhead.
• Moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds), walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting.
• Working outside in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
