The Pittsburgh Penguins are seeking a Player Development Video Coordinator to support the Player Development department through video analysis, content management, and development operations. This part-time, non-exempt, remote (20–25 hours per week) position plays an important role in preparing prospect video, maintaining development resources, and supporting player development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in analyzing, clipping, labeling, and finalizing prospect game footage to create player development video packages.
- Support the production of player development content, including Development Camp videos, prospect-focused video, and other educational materials.
- Ensure video content is organized, accurate, and delivered in a timely manner to support player development initiatives.
- Organize and maintain development video libraries, including drill footage, prospect clips, and educational content.
- Manage video assets using platforms such as Spiideo, Sportscode, Sportlogiq, and Instat.
- Maintain consistent file organization and documentation to ensure efficient access to player development resources.
- Support player development analytics and reporting initiatives.
- Maintain development tracking systems and assist with player development updates.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, reporting processes, and operational efficiencies within the Player Development department.
- Collaborate with Player Development staff on ongoing video projects, analytics initiatives, and special assignments.
- Absorb additional departmental projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with video editing, tagging, or analysis software.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with Player Development staff.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other collaborative workplace technologies.
Preferred Skills
- Experience using hockey video platforms such as Spiideo, Sportscode, Sportlogiq, Instat, or similar software.
- Experience with hockey video analysis, player development, or performance analysis.
- Experience playing hockey is preferred.
- Familiarity with hockey analytics and player evaluation methodologies.
- Passion for player development and continuous process improvement.
