Description
The University of Kansas Health System Hospice House (on the Olathe hospital campus) is a lovely, peaceful environment where our staff and volunteers care for hospice patients and their families. Would you bring the joy of music to us?
You'll be able to:
- Play a variety of complete songs for 30-60 minutes
- Provide your own music - song choices would be yours, with some limitations
- Choose volunteer shifts that fit your schedule
- Work independently - you won't be micromanaged
- Pianists - play piano in our hearth room for the enjoyment of families and visitors
- Guitarists - play guitar in our common areas and in patient rooms
You'll need to:
- Be 16 years of age or older
- Play for our volunteer coordinator who will determine if your playing style is the right fit for our hospice house
- Pass a background check and immunization process
- Complete a remote training
- Be responsible and committed - you'll need to be there when you're scheduled
- Be motivated to spread the joy of music to others!
