About the role
A Play Factory Host is a varied, customer-focused role ensuring our customers have a consistently exceptional experience at every visit. The role requires strong communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to handle diverse duties within the Play Factory. The jobholder is responsible for creating happy, lasting memories for all visitors.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all customers and visitors have a consistently excellent visit to the Play Factory.
- Deliver food and beverage service, including preparation and serving of food.
- Host birthday parties alongside parental supervision.
- Provide character entertainment for Play Factory parties or as required around the park.
- Maintain equipment and premises in a clean, working condition and report any issues to the line manager.
- Handle customer enquiries to conclusion, ensuring the best outcome for both the customer and the business, escalating where necessary.
- Process accurate payments in accordance with the park’s standards and cash handling procedures.
- Work flexibly in line with business requirements.
- Ensure all Health & Safety measures and procedures are observed and adhered to by staff, volunteers, and the general public within the Play Factory and Park.
Requirements
- Highly organised with attention to detail.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and a good understanding of HACCP record keeping.
- Smart appearance and ability to act as a good ambassador for Wicksteed Park at all times.
- Willingness to work flexibly and continuously improve skills and competences.
- Ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines.
- Strong commitment to health and safety and customer service.

Schedule
This is a seasonal role with flexible hours that vary based on business needs and ride opening schedules. Availability for weekend work and weekday hours during peak season is required.
Pay
Pay will be in line with the National Minimum Wage.
