Platform Senior Computer Cloud Engineer

Build the infrastructure that powers global manufacturing at The Gund Company. This is more than a traditional infrastructure role. You will help shape the future of our enterprise compute, cloud, identity, and resiliency platforms while supporting global operations, expansion initiatives, and modernization efforts. Responsibilities

• Design and engineer enterprise compute, virtualization, cloud, and identity platforms.
• Lead infrastructure modernization and lifecycle management initiatives.
• Manage VMware, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and cloud platforms.
• Develop secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure standards.
• Improve disaster recovery, backup, and recovery capabilities.
• Drive automation and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Partner with cybersecurity, IT operations, and business leaders to deliver enterprise solutions.
• Support global growth, acquisitions, and facility expansion projects.

Requirements

• 7+ years of infrastructure, virtualization, cloud, or platform engineering experience.
• Expertise with VMware vSphere and Windows Server environments.
• Strong Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID experience.
• Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud services and hybrid infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting, architecture, and technical leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Location & Travel

Preferred location is St. Louis, MO or near a major plant or corporate office. Travel of approximately 15-25% is required to support projects across North America and Europe.
