Platform Security Engineer

About the role

Glocomms is partnering with a leading global trading and technology firm to secure and improve endpoint infrastructure across a hybrid environment. This role focuses on protecting client platforms while ensuring performance and usability are not impacted.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize endpoint security tools
• Coordinate updates and upgrades for security platforms
• Partner with engineering teams to deploy and validate security solutions
• Evaluate new tools and technologies for fit and effectiveness
• Harden operating system builds across environments
• Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks
• Monitor and measure effectiveness of security controls
• Drive automation and process improvements for security checks
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to investigate and remediate issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience supporting endpoint platforms (Windows, Linux, macOS)
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
• Hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering and implementation
• Familiarity with endpoint security tools (e.g., EDR/XDR, antivirus)
• Scripting or development experience (any high-level language)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Skills

• Experience with tools such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or Carbon Black
• Knowledge of vulnerability management platforms (e.g., Qualys)
• Experience with scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Familiarity with SIEM or SOAR platforms
