How You Will Spend Your Time
- Operational Leadership
- Provide leadership and oversight for all production activities within the platform across three shifts.
- Lead and develop platform leads and production teams to ensure consistent operational performance.
- Maintain accountability for platform KPIs including safety, quality, throughput, efficiency, waste, cost, and OEE.
- Monitor operational performance through daily management systems and DDS board processes.
- Safety & Compliance
- Drive a strong safety culture focused on prevention and continuous improvement.
- Reduce recordable accidents and Total Case Incident Rate (TCIR) toward world-class performance levels.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead platform safety & compliance initiatives and improvements.
- Quality & Customer Expectations
- Lead initiatives that improve product quality and ensure compliance with customer expectations and specifications.
- Analyze production data and trends to identify improvement opportunities and prevent defects.
- Maintenance & Reliability
- Partner with the Maintenance Department to ensure effective execution of preventive maintenance (PM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs.
- Lead equipment reliability improvements through TPM pillars, centerline management, and autonomous maintenance practices including Clean, Inspect, and lubricate activities.
- Continuous Improvement
- Lead the implementation and expansion of the Heaven Hill Production System within the platform.
- Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives and TPM activities to improve operational efficiency.
- Own platform metric reporting and accountability through the Direction Setting process.
- Conduct regular data reviews to track trends, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Capital & Resource Management
- Lead and support capital investment initiatives related to platform improvements.
- Manage platform inventory levels to ensure operational continuity and cost control.
- Performance Management & Metrics
- Own platform metric reporting and accountability through the Direction Setting process.
- Team Development
- Lead operator training and development programs.
- Support leadership development for shift leads and production leaders.
- Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Operational Support
- Rotate shifts as needed to address operational challenges, support teams, and ensure alignment across all shifts.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience supervising and managing complex teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience managing production metrics, operational performance systems, and improvement initiatives.
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
- Data-driven decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional relationships, particularly with maintenance teams.
- Knowledge of TPM, preventive maintenance systems, and reliability practices.
- Strong project management and capital project leadership abilities.
- Ability to work across multiple shifts and adapt to operational needs.
- Experience managing safety performance (Recordable Rate / TCIR), product quality metrics, production efficiency and throughout, equipment, reliability and up time, inventory control, continuous improvement implementation, and workforce training and development.
