Platform Hardware Engineer
About The Role
Work with a team of engineers to support the hardware design and delivery of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) cabinets and associated electro-mechanical hardware components and subassemblies. Ensure that hardware designs and project documentation meet applicable system & quality requirements. Work closely with manufacturing operations to resolve issues, provide oversight, and ensure products are in accordance with build-to-print drawing packages and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue drawings, bill of materials and technical specifications for I&C Safety System products.
- Compile technical and quality documentation for procurement, testing and manufacturing of Safety System hardware products.
- Support the Common Q platform with Vendor and internal alignment.
- Perform Evaluations of Equivalency to maintain manufacturability and part change evaluations.
- Develop engineered solutions and part change evaluations to address obsolescence issues for various electrical products.
- Interface with suppliers and/or manufacturing facilities to support technical issue resolution.
- Assist in the development of equipment qualification test procedures, support during testing, evaluate test results and review final reports.
- Provide engineering support to customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and shop operations for a variety of products.
- Execute assignments independently within project schedule and budgetary requirements.
- Affirm accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in an Electrical Engineering or related technical field is required, along with a minimum of 0-3 years of engineering experience.
- Knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis/design.
- Awareness of field devices and control devices typical to the power industry.
- Awareness of typical industry standard drawings including schematics, cabinet drawings and panel layouts.
- Experience in AutoCAD/3D Modeling software.
Pay
The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $58,000 to $73,000 per year.

This is a hybrid position based in Warrendale PA.
