Platform Engineer - Senior - US

For our client, we are seeking a Platform Engineer - Senior - US to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will focus on building and optimizing the infrastructure that supports advanced AI model development and deployment. You will work closely with research, engineering, and client-facing teams to ensure high-performance, scalable environments for distributed training and production workloads. The position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of systems engineering, GPU performance, and modern orchestration platforms. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000 annually Responsibilities Design and implement scalable infrastructure for LLM and GenAI workloads across multi-GPU environments. Perform GPU profiling, benchmarking, and performance optimization for distributed training workloads. Manage and schedule compute-intensive jobs using Slurm-based clusters and OpenShift/Kubernetes environments. Enable and optimize the NVIDIA GPU stack including CUDA and Triton. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy models in research and production environments. Build and support GenAI pipelines such as fine-tuning and LLMOps. Contribute to internal innovation and support client-facing delivery engagements. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, particularly with GenAI and LLM workloads. Strong experience with Slurm and distributed training environments. Hands-on expertise with Red Hat OpenShift and/or Kubernetes for orchestration. Deep knowledge of the NVIDIA GPU ecosystem including CUDA, cuDNN, and Triton. Solid foundation in Linux systems, performance tuning, and multi-GPU optimization. Experience deploying GenAI workloads, including model fine-tuning and multi-modal systems. Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
