Platform Engineer (Remote)

For our client, we are seeking a Platform Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This remote role will help advance the organization’s data and AI/ML capabilities through secure, scalable software and platform engineering. The position partners closely with technical leaders and cross-disciplinary stakeholders to improve integration, automation, and delivery across production systems. You will also contribute to documentation, technical support, and the development of repeatable engineering practices that strengthen overall platform performance. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $107,500 – $204,500 annually Responsibilities Collaborate with technical leaders and stakeholders to enhance data capabilities Lead integration of APIs, SDKs, and automation for AI/ML technologies Maintain comprehensive views of technical systems and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams Design, test, and deploy scalable, production-quality software with CI/CD practices Advise on technical support and user documentation Mentor early and mid-career team members for career advancement Qualifications University degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years in relevant fields, or an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience 3+ years in data science and machine learning 3+ years in Software Development Life Cycle and product development, particularly with Python and its scientific stack Benefits Parental leave, including paternal leave Flexible work schedules Achievement awards and recognition programs Educational assistance Child/adult backup care Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
