Platform Engineer Manager

About the role

The Platform Engineer Manager will oversee the development and maintenance of the company's platform infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. This role requires strong leadership skills, experience managing teams, and expertise in cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of the company’s platform infrastructure
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance and career development opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and scalability of the platform
• Ensure compliance with security policies and standards
• Lead initiatives to improve platform efficiency and reliability

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a management capacity
• Proven track record of leading and mentoring technical teams
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of serverless architectures and AWS Lambda
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK Stack)
• Understanding of network protocols and security best practices
