Platform Engineer III (Workday)

About the role

We are seeking a Platform Engineer III to join our team. This role is remote or hybrid depending on your location within the continental US.

Responsibilities

• Supports architectural design and maintenance of the platform’s (COTS, SaaS, ERP) environment with distributed components
• Affirms compliance with organizational requirements through the implementation of, auditing of, and adherence to policies, procedures, and security standards
• Plans software upgrades, patching, & plugin installations in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Maintains performance, resolves problems, & manages component capacity issues
• Designs, tests, develops, configures, & maintains integrations to platform’s applications
• Adheres to the platform’s security and coding standards for resilience, data, and security
• Reviews business requirements to deploy the best solution, including configuring, coding, & debugging
• Works closely with cross-functional departments to communicate statuses & technical proposals
• Deploys and configures platform applications tailored to company needs
• Designs technical solutions, configures/customizes, tests, maintains the platform applications to meet company requirements
• Performs other duties as required

Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development and modern programming languages
• Workday configuration experience
• Leave management configuration experience in Workday
• Workday consultant background
• Workday Wellness implementation experience a big plus
• ADP, UKG experience a big plus
• Proven experience with Scrum and advanced DevOps methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead junior developers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or other related experience
• Four or more years of experience in release practices and environments or other related experience
• Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or other related field preferred
• Workday configuration experience, leave configuration experience preferred
• Workday certified preferred

Pay

The salary range for this job is $88,000 - $140,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation.

Schedule

Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote. If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. If you live more than 50 miles from these locations, this role will be remote.
