Responsibilities

• Significantly contribute to the development of custom software components and integration of open-source code to address complex problems using cutting-edge Big Data / Cloud technology.
• Work autonomously to identify and solve problems quickly, aligning with broader strategic goals set by Architects on the team.
• Design and implement core architecture and capabilities for software from prototype to operational applications.
• Work in a hybrid role, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office.

Requirements

• Must have experience developing and deploying infrastructure in AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes (or vendor flavor of Kubernetes), Ansible, storage layers (Ceph, Rook, Longhorn, etc.).
• Programming skills in languages like Python or Go.
• A solid understanding of Linux systems, hosts, networks, security, applications, and proficiency in shell scripting (Shell/Bash).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, adapting to schedule changes as needed.

Qualifications

• Can have a current U.S. Government Security clearance on day 1, but will be processed for one; U.S. citizenship required.
• Must have 2+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or 0 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field, or 6 years of relevant experience with a High School diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Experience with infrastructure as code and modern tools to define, build, and manage virtual infrastructure in the cloud.
• Experience with programming skills in languages like Python or Go.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Gitlab-CI, Travis-CI, Jenkins, etc.).
• Experience with Puppet, Ansible, Maven, virtualization (Ovirt, Proxmox, VMware, etc.).

Pay

Anticipated Salary Range: $90,166.00 - $115,000.00. The salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities. When extending an offer, Enlighten takes a variety of factors into consideration including the role's function, internal equity, and a candidate's education or training, work experience, certifications, and key skills.
