Responsibilities

• Significantly contribute to the development of custom software components and integration of open-source code to address complex problems using cutting-edge Big Data / Cloud technology.
• Work autonomously to identify and solve problems while working towards broader strategic goals set by Architects on the team.
• Design and implement core architecture and capabilities for software from prototype to operational applications.
• Develop and deploy infrastructure in AWS.
• Manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters.
• Leverage container build tooling and automation tools for infrastructure management.
• Ensure robustness of existing code bases by enhancing, optimizing, or increasing their functionality.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance project outcomes.

Requirements

• Security Clearance - A current U.S. Government Security clearance is not required on day 1, but will be processed for one; U.S. citizenship required. Can also consider candidates with current Secret or TS level clearance.
• Must have experience developing and deploying infrastructure in AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes (or vendor flavor of Kubernetes), including cluster administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with container build tooling and Kubernetes automation tools (e.g. Helm, Kustomize, Flux CD, etc.).
• Strong understanding of Linux systems, hosts, networks, security, applications, and proficiency in shell scripting (Shell/Bash).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 2 days per week at our San Antonio office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Bachelors in related field; OR 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
• Experience with programming languages like Python or Go.
• A solid understanding of Linux systems.

Skills

• Experience with infrastructure as code.
• Experience with modern tools to define, build, and manage virtual infrastructure in the cloud.
• Experience with Kubernetes (or vendor flavor of Kubernetes).
• Experience with container build tooling and automation tools (e.g. Helm, Kustomize, Flux CD, etc.).
• Experience with puppet, ansible, maven, virtualization (ovirt, proxmox, vmware, etc.).
• Experience with agile software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Github, Gitlab, etc.).
• Experience with DISA’s Big Data Platform or other Big Data systems (e.g. Cloudera CDH Hadoop, MapR Hadoop, Databricks, Apache Spark, etc.).

Pay

Anticipated Salary Range: $100,173.00 - $135,000.00. The salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities. When extending an offer, Enlighten takes a variety of factors into consideration which include, but are not limited to, the role's function, internal equity and a candidate's education or training, work experience, certifications and key skills. Occasionally positions/roles may include additional non-recurrent compensation and will be addressed by the recruiter during the interview process.
