Responsibilities
- Develops and implements applications into the enhanced virtual desktop infrastructure (eVDI).
- Provides support to eVDI end-users, backend applications and infrastructure.
- Works with the network to utilize resources, capture network performance, and resolve networking issues.
- Provides hardware, operating system and system administration support for enterprise IT services including software scripting, software installation, provisioning, and configuration.
- Configure and maintain organization's network diagrams and accreditations.
- Resolve complex network problems in regards to enhanced VDI (eVDI).
- Perform implementation, integration, and maintenance on systems architecture related to the Citrix environment in Windows, UNIX, Linux systems.
- Collaborate with back-end application developers and DBA to integrate applications into the eVDI.
- Perform software scripting, software installation, provisioning, and configuration.
- Prepare hardware and system designs for updates to the eVDI.
- Provide support for the eVDI including troubleshooting, repairing, monitoring, and testing.
- Collaborate with engineers on systems integration efforts.
- Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
- Conduct data captures to obtain network performance information.
- Implement specific network solutions to support server requirements to include load-balancing, VPN’s, firewall contexts, and network address translation (NAT) where appropriate.
Requirements
- Top Secret/SCI w/ Polygraph Clearance Required.
- Ten (10) years' experience as a Platform Engineer is required.
- Bachelor's degree in a computer engineering or in a field related to the computer engineering or computer science disciplines is required.
- Four (4) years of additional Platform Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree for a total of 14 years.
- Five (5) years' experience with Linux, Unix, and/or Shell programming is required.
- Two (2) years’ experience with Enterprise Hosting Platforms, Service Applications, and/or Enterprise Data Centers is required.
- DoD 8570 compliance with IAT Level I or higher is required.
