Join GovSignals as a founding platform engineer owning the data and deployment infrastructure for AI-driven government contracting. You will scale ingestion for 10,000+ data sources, manage secure environments across AWS GovCloud and Cloudflare, and build agentic harnesses that power billions in contract volume. Responsibilities

• Build and scale the ingestion and storage infrastructure for 10,000+ government data sources using Postgres logical replication and object storage on S3 and R2.
• Ship a single codebase to diverse environments including commercial SaaS on Cloudflare Workers and self-hosted Kubernetes in AWS GovCloud for restricted networks.
• Develop infrastructure where AI agents are first-class users, including agentic harnesses that support billions in government contract volume and automated remediation loops.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering with deep expertise in Postgres internals and Kubernetes in production environments.
• A security-first mindset and proven experience taking complex systems through real scale, such as significant migrations or major throughput walls.
• Proficiency in TypeScript or Python and a heavy reliance on AI tools to accelerate work within regulated or highly sensitive environments.
