About the role

This 2nd shift position involves using established processes to plate, coat, and treat metal items by immersion in a series of chemical or electrolytic solutions to ensure required production output meets customer demand.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and environmentally appropriate workplace.
• Incorporate good safety habits while operating the plating line or managing processes, equipment, and accessories.
• Wear OSHA-regulated protective gear at all times while plating.
• Execute and monitor the production process according to specifications in the “Traveler.”
• Follow the schedule to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Work in other processes/methods as needed.
• Manage document control and ensure daily activities are recorded.
• Process materials through the entire cleaning, activation, and plating process.
• Ensure documentation is complete and ready before running a job.
• Follow processes as written in the traveler and document process parameters used during job processing.
• Monitor for potential quality issues and report unusual process or material conditions to supervisors.
• Scan process steps as required.
• Perform shift transfer activities such as cleaning tanks, topping off plating tanks, cleaning the work area, and communicating with the next shift.
• Participate in daily Metrix meetings.

Continuous Improvement

• Support KAIZEN events when required.
• Provide feedback to enable process improvements.
• Support the 5S’s culture (maintenance).
