Plate Freezer Operator

General plant labor, to include operating machinery, forklift operation, grinder operation, housekeeping, cleaning, painting, grounds and general housekeeping in all areas of the plant. Responsibilities

• Utilize and operate a forklift
• Plate Freezer Operation
• Inventory counts
• Stretch Wrapper Operation
• Pressure Washer Operation
• Housekeeping, hosing down floors, moping, sweeping, emptying trash, picking up trash, etc.
• Shovel and clean up spills in the plant
• Keep barrels emptied of trash and product
• Clean equipment from top to bottom
• Keep floor drains cleaned out and covers on drains
• Paint as directed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to read and write
• Ability to climb stairs and silos
• Ability to stand for entire shift
• Frequently exposed to high noise levels, strong odors, varying temperatures, and biohazardous conditions
• Requires prolonged sitting and movement throughout office/work locations, as well as occasional use of computers and office equipment
• Must frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb or balance
• Must be able to communicate effectively and identify potential workplace hazards
• Requires the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs

Qualifications

• Work well with others in a team environment
• Safety conscience; detail oriented; able to multi-task
• Good mechanical skills; knowledge of plant processes and equipment
