Plastics Process Technician
The primary responsibilities of a Molding Process Technician at Haemonetics include:
- Starting/Stopping Various Molding Machines Safely
- Making Mold Changeovers Including Installation and Removal of Molds
- Monitoring Molding Processes and Troubleshooting Defects
- Understanding Characteristics and Processing Requirements of Different Plastic Resins
- Maintaining Good Documentation Practices
- Performing/Assisting with Various Mold/Machine Related Preventive Maintenance
- Ensuring Processes Run in Validated Ranges, Below Budgeted Scrap Rates
- Communicating Tooling and Machine Issues Clearly
- Using and Controlling Various Auxiliary Processes
- Maintaining a Safe and Clean Work Environment
- Supporting Process Validation Activities
- Working Independently Without Supervision
Qualifications for the position include:
- A Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, preferred
- A High School diploma or equivalent required
- Advanced certifications or extensive thermoplastics process manufacturing experience may be considered
- Experience with high cavitation injection molds preferred
- Experience with Nissei, Sumitomo, or Arburg Injection Molding Machines preferred
- Experience with Uniloy Injection/Extrusion Blow Molding Machines preferred
- Experience with Davis Standard Extruders and Conair Downstream equipment preferred
- Experience with Husky, Thermoplay, Gamma Flux, Mold Masters Hot Runner Systems preferred
