Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator - 3rd Shift Needed

About the role

CGP is seeking motivated, dependable, and efficient individuals to join our team as Full-Time Injection Molding Machine Operators. This role supports production demands at our Comstock Park, MI facility. We will provide training—prior operator experience is preferred but not required.

Schedule

3rd shift: Sunday–Wednesday, 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Positions are also available for 1st shift.

Responsibilities

• Use the ERP system accurately for timecard entries and clocking into specific operations/jobs.
• Monitor assigned molding machines and ensure parts satisfy quality specifications.
• Answer press alarms to maximize press efficiencies.
• Inspect parts for quality defects and provide feedback on quality findings.
• Report processing problems to appropriate personnel.
• Meet all quality, quantity, and Good Manufacturing Practices to satisfy customer and regulatory requirements.
• Operate measurement scales to determine machine production.
• Correctly label and identify products.
• Maintain a steady workflow to keep up with cycle counts.
• Maintain neat and orderly work areas to ensure efficiency and no safety hazards.
• Review paperwork for proper documentation to comply with procedures.
• Follow outlined procedures, safety guidelines, quality, and cost standards.
• Perform light assembly, inspecting, sorting, and packaging in our manufacturing facility.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be reliable and demonstrate willingness to stay to complete the job.
• Requires a positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively or independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and read, write, and count accurately.
• Strict adherence to attendance and tardiness policy.

Pay

$18–$20 per hour, depending on experience. Shift premiums: extra 10% for 2nd or 3rd shift.
