Plastic Extruder Operator

About the role

Asahi Kasei Plastics North America, Inc. is seeking a Plastic Extruder Operator to join their team. The position is available for direct hire and offers a starting base pay of $23.50 per hour with an additional $1.20 per hour for night shift premium pay, totaling $24.70 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all extruder functions including change overs, start ups, steady state, shut downs, focusing on safety and quality
• Communicate clearly between shifts
• Perform in-process material testing (melt flow, ash and moisture)
• Utilize proper and safe use of company supplied tools and equipment
• Perform daily PM's (preventative maintenance) and housekeeping

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• At least 3 years of plastic extrusion operating experience

Skills

• Experience with plastic extrusion operations
• Ability to communicate effectively between shifts
• Knowledge of in-process material testing
• Proficiency in using company tools and equipment safely
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance tasks
