Plasma Cutter - 1st Shift
Purpose Of Position
Freeman Enclosure Systems is seeking a skilled and dependable Plasma Cutter to join our Fabrication Department. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience operating CNC plasma or laser cutting equipment in a metal fabrication environment. This role is critical in ensuring precision cuts and high-quality fabricated metal components.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Interpret and read blueprints and technical drawings to determine dimensional requirements.
- Load and operate CNC plasma cutting machines using appropriate cutting programs.
- Adjust machine settings and cutting speeds to optimize edge quality for various materials.
- Inspect final parts for dimensional accuracy and conformity.
- Replace and maintain cutting nozzles and tips as needed.
- Use tape measures and other precision tools to verify measurements (skills test required).
- Perform daily machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area.
- Manage and restock raw materials as required.
- Lift and maneuver metal components up to 50 lbs.
- Support cross-functional operations by assisting in other departments when necessary.
- Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
