About the role

We're looking for a safety-focused CDL-A Driver to help keep our plant running efficiently during overnight operations. In this role, you'll operate dump trucks, forklifts, and other plant equipment to transport production materials and byproducts throughout the facility. If you enjoy hands-on work, operating equipment, working independently, and being an important part of a production team, this could be a great fit for you.

Responsibilities

  • Operate dump trucks, forklifts, and other company equipment safely and efficiently
  • Transport rock, plant waste, vegetable debris, and other production byproducts throughout the facility
  • Haul and dump frozen totes using forklift equipment
  • Complete required pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
  • Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs
  • Assist with routine troubleshooting and minor repairs when needed
  • Support various plant operations and help where needed during the shift
  • Keep work areas and equipment clean and well-maintained
  • Accurately complete required documentation and shift reports
  • Follow all company safety policies and DOT/FMCSA regulations
  • Work closely with team members to ensure smooth overnight operations
  • Help train and mentor other team members as opportunities arise

Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A)
  • Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum six months of commercial driving experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating forklifts and dump trucks
  • Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
  • Experience in manufacturing, food processing, agriculture, transportation, or production environments
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment issues
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and climbing
  • Entering and exiting trucks and equipment throughout the shift
  • Connecting and disconnecting trailers and related equipment
  • Lifting and moving up to 50 pounds
  • Working safely around moving machinery and equipment
  • Maintaining visual awareness of surroundings, equipment, and traffic conditions

Work Environment

This is an active, hands-on role in a manufacturing environment. Team members regularly work around heavy equipment, moving machinery, and outdoor conditions throughout all seasons. The work environment can be loud and requires a strong commitment to safety.

Schedule

This position supports overnight plant operations. Candidates should be comfortable working night shift hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.

This role does not offer relocation support; candidates must be local or willing to relocate independently.
