Plant Supervisor- Jacksonville
Position Overview
The primary function is to operate the plant safely and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations at all times. This includes recommending scheduling of work to ensure the site meets the needs of the plant and customers, conducting and participating in weekly safety meetings, helping manage the process and space for incoming wastewater and treatment of material using the SOP as the approved procedure, coordinating site discharge with the Plant Manager for compliance with all procedures and regulations, ensuring that incoming profiles, manifests, bills of lading, as well as vendor and customer interaction are meeting company requirements, facilitating good customer service at all levels, compiling and analyzing various reports for decision-making, management reporting, and compliance, aiding the Plant Manager with managing the administrative staff to ensure proper billing, customer service, and accurate accounting for receivables, coordinating with other company departments, monitoring and reporting site conditions to the Plant Manager, completing all documents and reports as required, monitoring the site's expense budget within budgetary guidelines to contribute to cost-effective operation of the Company, participating in a wide variety of special projects and compiling a variety of special reports, conforming with and abiding by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions, communicating with co-workers, management, clients, vendors, and others in a courteous and professional manner, responsible for productivity measures and achieving continuous measurable improvement with efficiencies in the plant, assisting the Plant Manager with basic HR functions, including interviewing and corrective action follow-up, coordinating overtime with the Plant Manager.
Essential Functions

- Recommends scheduling of work to ensure the site meets the needs of the plant and the customers.
- Conducts and takes part in the weekly safety meetings.
- Helps manage the process and space for incoming wastewater and treatment of material using the SOP as the approved procedure.
- Congrats site discharge with Plant Manager for compliance with all procedures and regulations.
- Ensures that incoming profiles, manifests, bills of lading, as well as vendor and customer interaction are meeting company requirements.
- Facilitates good customer service at all levels.
- Compiles and analyzes various reports for decision-making, management reporting, and compliance.
- Aids Plant Manager with managing the administrative staff to ensure proper billing, customer service, and accurate accounting for receivables, using the accepted practices established by the Company.
- Covers site conditions to the Plant Manager.
- Makes sure all documents and reports are completed as required.
- Maintains the site's expense budget within budgetary guidelines to contribute to cost-effective operation of the Company.
- Participates in a wide variety of special projects and compiles a variety of special reports.
- Complies with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
- Communicates with co-workers, management, clients, vendors, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Responsible for productivity measures and achieving continuous measurable improvement with efficiencies in the plant.
- Aids the Plant Manager with basic HR functions, including interviewing and corrective action follow-up.
- Coordinates overtime with the Plant Manager.
Education And Experience
- Waste Operator Level 1 (Recommended)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be willing to work in environments with strong orders
- Must be willing to work in hot, cold, and wet conditions
Knowledge And Skills
- Wastewater experience or related experience
- Experience managing employees
- Budgetary, profit & loss responsibility
- Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, Outlook
- Experience with Access, PowerPoint a plus
- Professional appearance and demeanor
