Plant Site Supervisor

About the role

The Claiborne facility consists of 2 low pressure oxygen VSA’s and 1 high pressure Oxygen VSA. The Site Supervisor will have broad responsibilities, focusing on leadership skills and gaining an understanding of all aspects of the site's responsibilities including plant operation, maintenance, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all aspects of the air separation plants operations, maintenance, safety, and record-keeping.
• Provide support for other local site supervisors.
• Support all aspects of the day-to-day operation, including troubleshooting plant process problems, supervising daily plant activities, and driving plant projects.
• Develop and build a strong relationship with our customer.
• Work 24/7 on-call responsibilities for response to plant alarms and shutdowns.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with the North America Operating Service Center (OSC), asset manager, regional maintenance manager, technical support team, and line manager.

Requirements

• A High School diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience is required.
• Safety focused.
• Expected travel: less than 30%.

Qualifications

• Management of the site’s Basic Safety Process and Process Safety Management with a focus on the company’s efforts to drive to a goal of 0 safety incidents.
• Supporting all aspects of the day-to-day operations to include troubleshooting plant process problems, supervising daily plant activities, and managing plant projects.
• A self-starter with tried leadership abilities.
• Self-led and highly motivated to plan and ensure the execution of all tasks required by our safety, environmental and engineering standards.
• Experience with operation of gen gas and/or air separation fractional distillation processes is a plus but not a specific requirement as training will be provided for the successful candidate.
• A successful track record of success in EH&S and Quality.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Maintenance experience in an industrial plant.
• Demonstrated computer skills.
