Plant Services Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervision of 15-20 janitorial hourly employees
• Achieving safety and training goals
• Project management
• Work with and supervising vendors
• Special projects
• Overseeing janitorial services at the Groton, Kings Highway, B793, and New London sites
• Cleaning equipment
• Carpentry services
• Sign shop services
• Painting services
• Hazmat services
• Development and implementation of process improvements
• Utilization of VMI programs
• Performance of preparation and takedown of Christening Ceremonies, special events, road sweeper operations
• Ability to interface with all levels of management and union leadership

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in industrial plant and/or facilities maintenance
• 1+ year of supervisory experience
• Working daily and weekend overtime to support Snow Removal Operations and special projects as needed and requested

Preferred Qualifications

• Janitorial experience
• Snow removal experience
• Knowledge of backhoe and tractor operations
• Knowledge of SDS process
