Plant Quality Manager

About the role

As a Plant Quality Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance and control of the plant's quality testing and reporting system within the plant.

Responsibilities

• Providing development and maintenance of the quality testing/reporting system
• Responsible to develop, coordinate, support, train, assist, and facilitate within all attributes of the Quality Management System
• Point of contact for all Customer issues, lead corrective actions, and ensure Sonoco is meeting all customer requirements
• Responsible for the Advanced Product Quality Planning Process (APQP)
• Lead the continuous improvement program
• Reduces variation within work tasks to improve process efficiency and quality
• Managing the specification, test methods, instructions, and audit processes
• Ensure quality records are maintained
• Develops best practices for each operation within the plant and trains across all shifts as required

Qualifications

• Four-year degree, preferably in the sciences or engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years' experience in the development and maintenance of a quality testing/reporting system
• Six Sigma Green Belt certified is preferred

Pay

• Quality Manager - Plant: $88,000 to $99,000 annual base salary, plus quarterly target bonus of 12.5% of base salary
• Quality Manager II - Plant: $102,240 to $115,020 annual base salary, plus quarterly target bonus of 12.5% of base salary
• Quality Manager III - Plant: $113,840 to $128,070 annual base salary, plus quarterly target bonus of 12.5% of base salary
