Plant Operator I (Water or Wastewater)
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Enters new accounts into the computer system.
- Modifies existing accounts according to new Court-ordered payment plans.
- Checks for money held on new accounts. Identifies and distributes to cashier for posting.
- Screens computer records for new and modified Orders.
- Screens card file for older records.
- Locates and pulls Order cards for computation by Bookkeeping on problem accounts.
- Filings Order cards.
- Maintains and updates personal information on all clients provided on Order cards.
- Answers questions and resolves problems regarding missing information or errors through contacts with attorneys and clients.
- Handles all returned money and attempts to locate payee.
- Ensures payments are re-mailed to accurate addresses.
- Updates transactions entries into Trust Accounts.
- Performs backup duties at the I.D. terminal.
- Runs payment histories and performs computations.
- Sets up account numbers for cash payments and income withholding orders.
- Updates payee/payor addresses as a backup duty.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- Five (5) years of any combination of college and work experience will qualify.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Experience with PCs and PC software.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bilingual preferred.
