Plant Operator - Hertford County, NC

About the role

Actively monitor and assess plant performance to ensure optimal efficiency, functionality, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct rounds, surveying plant operations, grounds, and equipment.
• Take readings on critical systems, observe functionality, and document any abnormalities for corrective action.
• Use calibration standards, including inspection, testing, and measurement equipment, as well as calibration gas cylinders.
• Perform routine analytical calibrations and adjustments.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, P&ID's, manuals, and documentation to support plant operations and maintenance.
• Safely execute planned maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment and systems are functioning optimally and safely.
• Ensure adherence to FDA/QMS (Quality Management System) compliance programs, following cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), applicable procedures, and UIG's internal quality systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Relevant military, industrial gas/cryogenics, or continuous process facilities experience.
• General knowledge of electrical and instrumentation equipment in process plant environments.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical school certification is preferred.
