Plant Operator – Electronics I (Previously Gen3/Specialty Alumina)
Why Do We Need You?
We are seeking an internal candidate to support the continued growth of the Electronics business. The Plant Operator – Electronics I position is responsible for safely operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting production equipment across multiple Electronics process areas while maintaining quality, safety, and production standards. This position offers the opportunity to develop expertise across a variety of manufacturing processes and play an important role in supporting current and future Electronics production capacity. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to cross-train and provide backup support in other Electronics manufacturing areas as business needs require.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production equipment to support safe and efficient manufacturing operations.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and take appropriate corrective action.
- Perform quality checks, collect samples, and complete required documentation.
- Accurately record production, process, inventory, and quality-related information.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Support housekeeping and 5S standards within assigned areas.
- Participate in safety initiatives, audits, continuous improvement activities, and training programs.
- Follow all environmental, health, safety, and lockout/tagout requirements.
- Provide support in multiple production areas based on operational needs.
Qualifications Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work safely and independently in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to learn and operate multiple production processes
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
Qualifications Preferred
- Manufacturing experience
- Forklift experience
- Experience operating process equipment in an industrial environment
- Basic computer skills for production reporting and data entry

Pay
$28.70 per hour, plus applicable skill pay and shift differential.
Schedule
12-hour rotating shift (schedule subject to change based on business conditions).
