Plant Operator

Essential Functions

• Operate plant controls to ensure efficient production of aggregate products.
• Welds and repairs plant surfaces and conveyors using a variety of processes for the purpose of ensuring the availability, functionality, and safety.
• Uses various plant equipment to ensure the safe completion of repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain work area, equipment, and tools an uncluttered and organized manner performing routine care and maintenance of the plant.
• Captures and coordinates with others in completing projects/work orders safely and efficiently.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Certifications: General Mineral Miner
• Work Experience: 1 – 3 years

Physical Working Conditions

• Frequent exposure to dusty conditions and the full range of weather conditions
• Frequent in, on, and around quarry high walls and pit
• Extended periods working from elevated positions or in tunnels
• Bending, lifting, kneeling, ability to go up and down ladders
