Plant Operator 2

Responsibilities

• Observes and regulates plant equipment on a routine basis.
• Works without direct supervision evenings, nights, and weekends and coordinates work during off shifts with with Nursing Supervisor or department managers as applicable.
• Keeps logs and records as requested by the Director and the Assistant Director of Engineering Services.
• Performs minor repairs to the building and equipment in and out of the power plant.
• Keeps power plant/equipment clean and well maintained.
• Understands the role in hospital's fire, safety and disaster program.
• Supports the hospital's Christian mission and philosophy.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent and vocational/technical training required.
• Work Experience: Sufficient previous experience as a boiler operator preferred.
