Plant Operations Tech

About the Role

The Plant Operations Tech is responsible for the overall upkeep of residential and public areas through responsive, accurate, and efficient maintenance. This role involves performing simple tasks that require the application of general maintenance and repair techniques, materials, tools, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas, including correcting electrical malfunctions, repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and fittings.
• Repairs and replaces light bulbs and fixtures, drywall/concrete, painting, repairing doors and locks, etc.
• Responds to emergency calls for system and equipment failure.
• Completes all work orders in a timely manner while providing detailed information regarding the task(s) performed along with all prescribed/pertinent equipment information.
• Attendance is essential; must maintain dependability and punctuality.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of residential building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English with residents/staff and take direction well.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to successfully complete a level two background check.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1 year of Long Term Care/Nursing home experience.
• Technical Certificate or Degree preferred but not required.
• 2-3 years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex, commercial building, or hotel preferred.

Schedule

• Full-time: Sat-Wed, 8:00am-4:30pm
• Part-time: Sat & Sun, 8:00am-4:30pm
