Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a diverse team across maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and grounds
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs and ensure timely, high-quality completion of work orders
  • Prioritize and triage work effectively, balancing urgent needs with planned maintenance and long-term projects
  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring accountability and quality outcomes
  • Partner with leadership on budgeting, capital planning, and operational improvements
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards including Life Safety and environment of care requirements
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Serve as a key leader during emergency situations, ensuring rapid and effective response

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in facilities management or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership/supervisory experience
  • 5+ years of healthcare facilities experience preferred

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
  • Experience with regulatory compliance (NFPA, Life Safety Code, ACHC or similar)
  • Vendor and contractor management experience
  • Budgeting and financial oversight skills

Preferred experience

  • Hospital or healthcare facility operations experience strongly preferred
