Plant Operation Manager (Healthcare)

Core Job Duties

  • Leads the facility's physical plant conversation team
  • Reviews and promptly responds to reports and recommendations from planning, regulating, and inspecting agencies
  • Provides for facility compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Supports the facility leadership team
  • Maintains the overall facilities aesthetics consistent with design specifications to each location
  • Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure success of the facility

Facilities Maintenance

  • Actively involved with conserving physical assets of the facility
  • Supervises and monitors the day-to-day repairs and maintenance of the facility
  • Supervises and monitors the upkeep of all existing offices and patient and staff areas
  • Conducts fire drills and maintains fire prevention equipment

Requirements:

  • Minimum High School diploma or GED and 2 years of professional experience and training in facility operations technical areas including repair contracting, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, facility cleaning, and related facility operations areas; or a minimum of 4 years' experience in those areas
  • Experience leading a facility's physical plant team
  • Knowledge of OSHA guidelines, accreditation standards, and license requirements for the jurisdiction
  • Knowledge of principles, rules, and regulations related to the practice of facilities management
  • Experience working in a healthcare facility environment
  • Life Safety & Environment of Care Standards experience
  • Fire code & emergency protocol knowledge
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Experience managing staff, preferably housekeeping and kitchen
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission accreditation standards preferred
  • Experience with work order/CMMS software preferred
