Plant Mechanic
Responsibilities
- Ensure Safety
- Perform daily maintenance and repair of the plant (Oldcastle Southern Group (APAC Florida, Conrad Yelvington Distributors, and Preferred Materials)) as well as other miscellaneous work.
- Complete necessary paperwork and communicate maintenance needs to management.
- Follow all safety regulations set forth by the company.
- Maintain a clean work environment, including all equipment and the facility.
- Keep and turn in required paperwork: Maintenance needs, Parts and Service Work orders and Invoices, Safety Documentation.
- Perform a wide range of duties within the plant, such as operating a front end loader, and assist wherever needed.
- Lift 50 pounds alone and stand for extended periods.
- Work in varying weather conditions, in dusty and noisy areas.
- Work overtime and some weekends as needed.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Front End Loader experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the maintenance field is preferred.
- General experience with industrial equipment and ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Ready Mix plant operations.
- Ability to make simple electrical diagnosis and repairs.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
- Valid driver’s license.
