Plant Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Ensure Safety
  • Perform daily maintenance and repair of the plant (Oldcastle Southern Group (APAC Florida, Conrad Yelvington Distributors, and Preferred Materials)) as well as other miscellaneous work.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and communicate maintenance needs to management.
  • Follow all safety regulations set forth by the company.
  • Maintain a clean work environment, including all equipment and the facility.
  • Keep and turn in required paperwork: Maintenance needs, Parts and Service Work orders and Invoices, Safety Documentation.
  • Perform a wide range of duties within the plant, such as operating a front end loader, and assist wherever needed.
  • Lift 50 pounds alone and stand for extended periods.
  • Work in varying weather conditions, in dusty and noisy areas.
  • Work overtime and some weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Front End Loader experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in the maintenance field is preferred.
• General experience with industrial equipment and ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Ready Mix plant operations.
• Ability to make simple electrical diagnosis and repairs.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
• Valid driver’s license.
