About the role
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire operation of the Producers Rice Ingredients facility, ensuring efficiency, safety, and cost-effective production that meets quality and regulatory standards. Plan, organize, and direct daily milling operations, including production scheduling, equipment operation, and troubleshooting while maintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and other food safety standards throughout the facility. Oversee and mentor supervisors as they assign work, address performance concerns, and work with Quality Assurance and Safety teams. Communicate operational issues and staffing needs to senior management and Human Resources. Maintain and manage inventories for efficient order fulfillment, lot tracking, and quality specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering, or other related fields.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of BRC standards and other food safety standards.
- Knowledge of related OSHA standards and requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10 years in a food processing or grain milling industry.
- 5 years supervisory/management experience.
