Plant Manager
About the role
Pacific Coast Producers (PCP) is seeking an experienced and strategic Plant Manager to lead our Production Facility in Lodi, CA. PCP is dedicated to investing in its people and fostering a culture of service, where each employee can do their best to make affordable, high-quality food for customers across North America.
Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production
- Develop and execute production plans aligned with raw material supply, demand, labor, and plant capacity
- Drive performance against key metrics including safety, quality, throughput, and cost
- Own operating and capital budgets; analyzing performance and implementing corrective actions
- Champion food safety, environmental compliance, and regulatory adherence (OSHA, FDA, SQF, HACCP, HARPC, GMPs)
- Build, coach, and develop strong teams through clear expectations and consistent leadership
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and profitability
- Partner effectively with union leadership to maintain a positive and productive work environment
- Oversee capital projects and internal investments to support future growth and operational excellence
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in food manufacturing (aseptic processing, canning, or similar environments strongly preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- Proven ability to lead large teams in a fast-paced, unionized setting
- Strong operational and financial acumen, including budgeting and performance analysis
- Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement and leading change
- Deep understanding of food safety systems and regulatory requirements (GFSI, HACCP, HARPC, FDA, OSHA)
- Hands-on leadership style with strong problem-solving capability
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight timelines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization

Schedule
This is a full-time, on-site role based at our production facility in Lodi, CA.
Pay
Salary Range: $160,000 - $200,000/year (based on experience).

Founded in 1971, Pacific Coast Producers is owned by more than 165 family farmers who cultivate and deliver a diverse range of crops including tomatoes, peaches, pears, grapes, cherries, and more. Our cooperative operates multiple processing and packaging facilities across the West Coast, supplying top-quality products to grocery retailers and foodservice distributors throughout the U.S. and Canada.
