About the role
ESPEC North America (ENA) is a leader in environmental and accelerated reliability test chambers and solutions, dedicated to enhancing product quality and reliability worldwide. We are currently seeking a highly experienced Plant Manager to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary decision-maker for site operations, overseeing all aspects of the Colorado manufacturing facility.
- Ensures safe, compliant, and efficient execution of all activities, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Works closely with the Scheduler (MI) to develop and execute production schedules, ensuring they align with Colorado’s capacity and constraints.
- Manages the production team to meet productivity, quality, and schedule requirements, identifying and resolving material shortages and supply issues.
- Develops and manages the annual operating budget, monitoring costs and implementing actions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Trains, coaches, and develops production team members, maintaining training and capability records.
- Communicates site performance, risks, and operational issues to senior management, leading problem-solving efforts and ensuring corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
Requirements
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in manufacturing or operations, preferably in capital equipment or related industry.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with site-level or multi-functional operational responsibility, and implementing lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production systems, materials planning, and supply chain coordination in a matrix environment.
- Financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control.
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive operational performance.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems to manage production execution, materials planning, and reporting.
- Experience establishing, tracking, and improving key manufacturing performance metrics (safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost).
- Proven ability to lead organizational and process changes while maintaining production stability and team engagement.
- Ability to identify operational risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalate issues appropriately.
- Strong customer focus with understanding of how plant performance impacts customer commitments and satisfaction.
