Responsibilities

  • Reviews and evaluates the financial and manufacturing performance establishing improvement plans when required.
  • Directs and coordinates facility operations within established company policies and procedures.
  • Provides direction, evaluation, motivation, training, and support to the facility management, supervisory and administrative staff.
  • Leads and supports Continuous Improvement using Lean principles and tools.
  • Supports and/or implements systems and practices under the Company’s certifications (IATF-16949, ISO-9001, ISO14000, etc.).
  • Responsible for the overall daily production and manufacturing activities, scheduling, processes, maintenance, and supervision of production personnel.
  • Ensures that the Environmental and Safety policies are followed.
  • Complies with procedures, regulations, and instructions of environmental and safety programs.
  • Promotes the fulfillment and awareness of customer requirements, of quality system requirements, and all relevant state, federal, and local legal and regulatory requirements in Environmental and Safety aspects.
  • Knows the environmental aspects of the area and its control.
  • Knows the environmental impacts associated with their activities.
  • Provides the necessary resources to establish, implement and maintain the IMS.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of post-secondary education.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or plant management position in a manufacturing environment.
  • (Additional experience may be substituted for the education requirement at the discretion of the Director of Manufacturing).
  • Experience in directing molding operations.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement practices.
