Plant Maintenance Technician

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing and production equipment during active operations
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Respond quickly to emergency and unplanned equipment failures to reduce production downtime
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, policies, procedures, and documentation requirements
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and work orders
  • Use hand tools, power tools, meters, welders, torches, and material-handling equipment safely and effectively
  • Weld, fabricate, and install machine components as needed
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with OSHA and company standards
  • Source parts and supplies, obtain vendor quotes, and install replacement components
  • Cookordination and communication with vendors and external contractors for equipment maintenance and installation projects

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in plant or industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong hands-on experience with hydraulic systems, mechanical repair, welding, electric motors, conveyors, steel fabrication, and overhead cranes
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a self-motivated, proactive, and multi-tasking team player
  • Solid understanding of industrial maintenance practices and production equipment operations
  • Electrical license preferred, but not required

Work Environment

  • Indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures
  • Near moving machinery and equipment - could include electrical hazards
  • In a noisy environment
