Plant Maintenance Technician

About the role

TAT Greensboro is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic and growing team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our industrial equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and modify industrial electrical systems, equipment, and machinery in a manufacturing or processing environment
• Perform routine facility and equipment maintenance on production equipment, motors, drives, pumps, control panels, and related systems and record critical information appropriately
• Identify, diagnose, and communicate issues that arise with equipment
• Comply with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and arrangements
• Perform routine facility and equipment maintenance and record critical information appropriately
• Perform daily activities independently (or with a team) with minimal supervision while maintaining communication with management

Requirements

• Strong electrical aptitude and ability to learn industrial electrical systems, motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, and automation equipment
• Basic electrical knowledge with 110/240/480-volt power
• Knowledge of forklifts, aerial lifts, hoists, and other maintenance-related equipment and welding/fabrication skills a plus
• Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work
• Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
• Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade
• Read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
• Knowledge of one or more building trades
• Lock Out / Tag Out Certification or willingness to obtain

Qualifications

Must possess a working knowledge of electrical principles and practical experience as it relates to industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance functions.
