Plant Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The position oversees the preventative maintenance programs for equipment within the plant.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preventative maintenance programs to ensure the equipment throughout the plant and building areas operates at optimum levels of efficiency and safety.
• Keep and maintain records on weekly preventative maintenance checklist.
• Oversee or perform repairs on overhead cranes, batch plant, hoppers, power grids, mixers, benders, and other equipment to ensure that the plant operates by guidelines.
• Utilize a variety of power tools and hand tools to perform preventative maintenance and/or repairs to equipment and machinery.
• Ensure that equipment and machinery are oiled, lubricated, and inspected per company guidelines during preventative maintenance to keep equipment in good working order.
• Weld parts to equipment during repairs or installations as needed.
• Replace damaged parts of equipment with new parts as needed.
• Order parts and install appropriate parts to machinery.
• Lead the activities of employees; aid workers engaged in maintenance activities; troubleshoot workers and maintenance problems and recommend solutions.
• Engage in interactive communication.
