About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of plant maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of all machinery and equipment. The role involves a combination of strategic planning, team leadership, and hands-on work. You will be instrumental in maintaining the highest level of operational efficiency, productivity, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all plant equipment and utility systems.
- Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs.
- Improve equipment uptime and overall plant reliability through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and spare parts inventory.
- Lead and develop maintenance and engineering personnel while promoting a strong safety culture.
- Manage departmental budgets and maintenance-related KPIs.
- Partner with Operations and Engineering to implement capital projects and equipment upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain maintenance documentation, equipment records, and CMMS data integrity.
- Provide technical leadership for plant automation and process control systems.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, motors, drives, and related control systems.
- Develop automation improvements and maintenance troubleshooting tools.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance leadership experience.
- Experience leading maintenance and engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong PLC programming experience, including Allen-Bradley and GE/Fanuc platforms.
- HMI programming experience using platforms such as Wonderware and Rockwell FactoryTalk.
- Strong knowledge of industrial controls, instrumentation, motors, drives, and electrical systems.
- Experience with process automation and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
- Familiarity with Oracle databases or other enterprise manufacturing systems is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and electrical drawings.
- Excellent leadership, planning, communication, and organizational skills.
- Hands-on management style with the ability to support plant operations as needed.
- Availability to respond to critical plant issues outside normal business hours when necessary.
Benefits
This is a full-time, permanent position that offers:
- A base salary of $140,000 - $160,000 per year.
- An annual bonus.
- A 401(k) match of 50% up to 8% contribution (4% total), with a cap at 100% match after 5 years.
