Plant Leader
About the job
The Plant Leader drives safe, efficient plant operations while developing a high-performing team, ensuring product quality, and leading continuous improvement and capital projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day plant operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, and reliability
- Develop and mentor team members to build technical capability and accountability
- Partner across engineering, maintenance, production, and logistics for aligned execution
- Drive process stability, troubleshooting, and ongoing OPEX improvement initiatives
- Oversee capital projects, including planning, budgeting, stakeholder alignment, and execution
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (MSHA/OSHA)
- Establish KPIs, SOPs, and performance standards to meet production and customer expectations
- Optimize energy and material usage while maintaining operational excellence
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a process manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experience with bulk material handling equipment
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Technical knowledge relevant to plant operations; electrical experience or certifications a plus
- Proven ability to lead projects, manage priorities, and drive continuous improvement
