What You'll Do

• Affordably and safely operate equipment
• Establish effective production and maintenance schedules
• Coordinate and monitor daily tasks of employees
• Ensure employees inspect equipment daily for safety and maintenance defects
• Schedule, assist, and coordinate routine maintenance on the plant and mobile equipment
• Ensure pre-processed material is available for production
• Track inventory of critical spare parts
• Properly train and mentor operators to achieve higher levels of efficiency
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and organization
• Ensure safe traffic patterns between plant equipment and customers
• Monitor overall production efficiency and report inadequacies to manager
• Lift, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Operate equipment or fill-in as needed to accomplish productivity objectives
• Participate in daily or weekly safety meetings
• Provide daily plant production numbers with downtime data to scale person
• Report all employee and/or equipment related problems to the Plant Manager

Requirements

• Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time at conveyor belt operation
• Ability to climb heights of 20 feet on a regular basis
• Ability to lift, carry, and/or pull 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to work in dusty, wet, and loud environments
• Required to wear safety equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, steel toed boots, ear plugs, gloves and various other similar items as required or needed
